There are two themes running simultaneously in my book. These two themes are "hope" and "adversity". Unlike most books written on a difficult topic such as child abuse, I have used metaphors and similes that allude to the verbal, physical, and sexual abuse that Anastasia experienced. I take you on Anastasia's journey of living in an abusive environment. At the same time, she demonstrates how hope, courage, determination, persistence, and perseverance pushes her forward to move towards the goals she has set forth for herself. You will discover as you enter Anastasia's journey, you will also enter into your own journey because adversity is a fact of life, it's just that we all experience and deal with it differently. Anastasia and The Ghostly Owl (The Choice Was Hers!) was published December 1, 2005.
